Why people do what they do affects performance both on and off the job. A person's performance and attitude can be directly related to how they feel about the Personal Interests, Attitudes and Values factors. This report allows individuals to understand how values effect their choices and, thus, provides purpose and direction in their lives. The most common usage is within a selection system, resolving conflict or intervention.
The Personal Interests, Attitudes and Values Report measures the relative prominence of six basic interests or motives: theoretical, utilitarian, aesthetic, social, individualistic, and traditional values. Values and Attitudes help to initiate one's behavior, and are sometimes called the hidden motivators because they are not always readily observed.
The report helps illuminate those motivating factors and attitudes and allows a person to understand the driving forces behind their decisions. It is often used as a key part of the selection process.
